The Deuter company was founded in 1898 in Augsburg-Oberhausen. From the very beginning, it has been producing backpacks, tents, bags and leather goods.
Deuter has always supported and been a partner of the greatest climbing and hiking achievements, confirming the quality of products under the most extreme conditions. The experience gained over the years has made the German brand one of the largest backpack manufacturers in the world.

The Aircomfort carrying system, introduced in 1984, revolutionized the backpack market. In 1990, Deuter presented the world´s first backpack designed for mountain biking.

For the 6th time, Deuter won the annual "Best Brand" plebiscite by MountainBike Magazine (readers´ choice).
